I agree with almost nothing in Why Learning Assembly Language is Still a Good Idea, and I believe, I can generate a valid (if not unnecessarily contrived) counterpoint to each of his points. However, it did make me wish I had paid more attention to my assembly language courses.

People program in something other than a text editor? You must be referring to those fancy schmancy IDE's I keep hearing about. I thought those were a fad?
